Governance and Lay Associations of the Faithful

This training event is for Church authorities and safeguarding personnel involved in ensuring groups using Church property and lay associations are safe to do so.

The day will include discussions and presentation on the following:

  • Understanding lay associations of the faithful and the new procedure for groups to become recognised as associate members of the National Board.
  • Discussing how to assist groups who are not national organisations but are carrying out important ministry with children in Church property.
  • Discussing how to ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place to identify groups that are ministering on behalf of the Church or using property, and to ensure good safeguarding practice.

This will help us to match up your payment.
