The NBSCCCI E-Learning hub is now live. The first training housed here is Vetting training, which has been created in partnership with Munster Safeguarding Liaison Persons Group, the Archdiocese of Dublin and the NBSCCCI to meet the requirements of Article 10(3) of the Directive 2011/93/EU and updates to the Garda Vetting process introduced on 7th July 2025.

During 2023 and early 2024 the National Board concluded the revision of the Church's Safeguarding Children policy and Standards: The new Policy, A Safe and Welcoming Church; Safeguarding Children Policy and Standards for the Catholic Church in Ireland, 2024 has been approved by both the IEC and AMRI and came into effect from 11 June 2024.
