Bogus complainant

The National Board has been advised by a number of Religious Orders and An Garda Siochana that there is currently a male bogus complainant in circulation seeking compensation for abuse.

We would remind you that all allegations should follow the procedures set out in the “Safeguarding Children” and be reported to the Gardai/PSNI, HSE/HSE in the first instance.

If you are concerned about anyone whom you believe is seeking financial compensation on a false claim basis you should report this to the Gardai/PSNI.
